This energy has been influenced by the mercury retrograde which moves forward again on January 15. With January being the ending month of 2009 yearly visiting energy, we look forward to the year of the "Rat" in 2010 beginning with new "visiting energy" starting on Feb. 4, 2010. As for the monthly visiting energy of Feng Shui in the "heart" of all buildings during this period from Jan. 5th through Feb. 3rd; it brings the potential for whining and complaining. This is natural before the "letting go" energy which comes to all buildings Feb. 4, 2010 for that month. Don't we always fight change. As I wrote last month: "If you are able to accept this energy and go with the flow, rather than put up resistance, then having the ability to "let go" easily brings a space for something better to come into your life."

It seems we may be losing our 9 1/2 year old dog, and even though I understand how Spirit works, I still feel myself doing what I can to hold on.

Remedies for January 5, 2010 - February 3, 2010:

The energy in the Center of all buildings this cycle brings the potential for whining and complaining. Fire reduces this energy and may help to increase wealth, especially if you have been instructed to have fire in the center of your building on each floor. Remember to avoid fire when metal is specified. Your permanent energy may require continuous metal so be sure to check your original report.

In the Southwest brings the potential for power and authority. Place earth here to increase the power and authority. This energy is connected to the head and lungs, so if you start to experience headaches, it could be coming from this Southwest quadrant, depending on if you spend much time here. If you do have headaches occurring, then add water. Water may decrease the power and authority, but brings wealth and increased abundance. If this is your entrance or your bedroom, this month brings good decision making and supports you to speak up and ask for what you want with successful results.

In the South during all of 2009 has been the potential for love, creativity, support for good academics, and/or a higher potential for travel during which continues for one more month. The monthly energy is great for expansion of good health, wealth, and great for expanding relationships, additions to the family and relates to the bones in the body so avoid metal with this energy. Fire increases this good energy of abundance. If you have been instructed to use metal for your building then you must avoid fire.

In the Southeast brings the potential for love, creativity, support for good academics, and/or a higher potential for travel. Along with the ending of the 2009 yearly energy of abundance and expansion in the Southeast, this month's visiting energy is the same combination energy as in the South. Both the Southeast and South have the potential to be great for travel, creativity, wealth, and good health. Place fire here to enjoy a very prosperous month. If you have been directed to use metal in your specific building, then continue your metal remedy here and avoid fire.

In the Northeast brings the potential for concern over gossip or arguing at its peak. Fire helps reduce that potential for whining and complaining and bothered by rumors this month in the Northeast.

In the East brings the potential for delays, pain, and/or struggle here. If you use this area often you may find you are going back to get things you have forgotten. You may also experience challenges with teeth and mouth issues during this period, and/or arguing unexpectedly. If you do not spend much time in this area then you could disregard it. Otherwise, place 50 lbs. of metal here to move forward easily this month. Avoid fire, earth, or water here. If this is a bathroom that has a shower that is used often, then you may need to increase the metal remedy, because the water negates the metal. Also be sure to change area rugs and/or towels in the East to white. Also remove colors representing fire (reds), water (blues and blacks), earth (yellow, tan, or beige) since all three elements negate your metal remedy.

In the North brings the potential for the wealth and along with the end of the 2009 energies here in the North bringing a potential for delays, pain, and/or struggle here so far this year. If you have spent a lot of time in the North this year then you may have felt like you are walking through mud any time you have attempted to move forward. If you do not spend much time in this area then you could disregard it. Otherwise, place 50 lbs. of metal here to move forward easily this month. Avoid fire, earth, or water here. Once again as I listed above in the East, if this is a bathroom that has a shower that is used often, or even the kitchen with the cook top of fire, then you may need to increase the metal remedy, because the water and fire negate the metal. Also be sure to change area rugs and/or towels in the North to white. Remove colors representing fire (reds), water (blues and blacks), earth (yellow, tan, or beige) since all three elements negate metal.

In the Northwest brings the potential for separation and/or sickness. Be sure to place a minimum of 100 lbs. of metal in the Northwest in addition to any metal you have been instructed to use here for your specific building. Concentrate on taking good care of yourself and avoid this area if possible this month. If this is a doorway, then use a different entrance if possible. Remove all fire, earth, or water elements or colors if possible.

In the West brings the potential for an increase in separation and/or sickness. Be sure to place a minimum of 100 lbs. of metal in the West in addition to any metal you have been instructed to use here for your specific building. As I mentioned regarding the Northwest, be sure to concentrate on taking good care of yourself and avoid this area if possible this month. If this is a doorway, then use a different entrance if possible, or be sure to have your remedy in place. Remove all fire, earth, or water elements or colors if possible.

Note: Metal needs to be touching the air, and the colors of the Metal must be silver, white, or gold. Metal remedies include brass or silver candle sticks, a grandfather clock that makes noise (moving metal is best with the moving pendulum), the colors white and gold, also a sewing machine with moving metal parts, or a piano that is played often.
